I got ripped off in the GW Store!!
The day the online store opened, I bought 2 new slots for my account. The two slots were applied immediately, and all was well. The next day when I logged in, I had two additional slots added, a total of 4 new slots. When I checked by bank statement online, I found I had been charged twice. I only wanted to buy 2 slots, got the confirmation email for two slots, but was billed twice. After waiting three days for a response from PlayNC support, their answer is "Character slots are non-refundable, in whole or in part." So even though they charged me twice, they refuse to give me back the additional charge. I didn't want 4 slots, and they are still sitting unused.

Yes, I'm sure it wasn't an auto-reply, because they asked me questions regarding the purchase. And while I know there's nothing that Guru can do, I feel it necessary to warn others to check their credit card statements for double charges, and be wary of shopping with PlayNC.

Bingo.
Your bank should be able to help you out. My friend got some slots and got charaged twice, his bank happily reversed one of the charges.

Just contact your bank and tell them that you only autoriced 1 charge, and let them deal with PlayNC, as a customer you will not get anywhere with them.
Gotto love the Pirats at PLAYNC, atleast they are consitant in ripping ppl off

Happened to em, got 2 slots instead of just 1, but I thought it was due to the "transaction error" which happened due to volume overload :\ so I just accepted it cause besides a pvp slot, I thought I needed a storage char anyway, now I heard that you'll get an extra slot by preordering nightfall along w/ the +2 slots if you merge, I'm kinda regretting dismissing the issue, but oh well, thats 1 slot i have for anything I feel like it, maybe a pve mesmer.

sigh
if you have one and only one confirmation email for 2 slots it is simple.
contact your credit card customer service and explain that you were double charged and have NCsofts confirmation on the purchase you made and no confirmation on the one you did not make.
it is now a contested charge and NCsoft has to convince your bank (with no proof) that you made a second purchase.
if NCsoft cant lock/remove the extra slots they are yours at no charge

Your money is FEDERALLY insured. If the second charge wasn't authorized, simply call your bank or credit company and tell them you authorized ONE charge, not a second one. Make it absolutely clear that there was nothing in the agreement that would state they'd bill you twice, as it was a one time transaction.
The bank/creditor is required by law to refund your money if it was a fraudulent transaction, in which the second charge was. They'll refund your money and go after PlayNC for reimbursement. Granted you'll probably lose 2 of the 4 character slots after they have to pay the bank back, but that's all they can do - take away something you didn't pay for.
